This condition is compulsive in nature. However, this condition has a number of treatment alternative which can also be used in combination. These includes, pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment options. Non-pharmacological strategies includes all other forms of therapies excluding medication  that is used to treat a certain condition. This can include pain therapy, exercise, counselling, among others. In this case the possible option s includes, cognitive behavioral therapy. This is the most common non-medical strategies to help patients with OCD conditions. This  therapies such as talk therapy, counselling, behavioral manipulation approach which brings about change on the  behavior of the patient by manipulating their thinking.(The Johns Hopkins University, 2021).On the other hand, pharmacological strategies involves the use of medical products and drugs to help in managing the symptoms associated with the OCD. This includes, the antidepressants drugs which can be, Clomipramine, this is only prescribed for patients  above 10 year old.
