As an advanced practice nurse, it's second nature to find a connection between the practitioner and the patient. The nurse practitioner's role is to recognize that we have the proper treatment for the patient we are seeing. According to Poghosyan & Bernhardt, (2018), interactions positively are present and personal progress is positive. Still, when conflict is current in a nurse-patient relationship, this leads to high-stress interaction, which can delay healing. The advanced practice nurse is responsible for examining, diagnosing, and prescribing the most cost-effective treatment for the patient (Kelling 2015). My mission and goal are to improve my skills as a psychiatric nurse practitioner. As patient-provider interactions foster personal and professional growth, on the other hand, conflict between patients and nurse practitioners causes a high-stress atmosphere, which results in ineffective treatment. (Poghosyan & Bernhardt, 2018). I expect to gain more independence and confidence in tackling the illness process and treatment management plan with minimal assistance from my preceptor because of this practicum experience. I will be more confident when I move on to the next journey and practicum rotations. Focus your studies on specific topics and spend more time in a practicum to meet learning objectives. Furthermore, establishing your learning objectives with your preceptor confirms that you will make most of your training time and that all parties involved are aware of what you aim to learn.Part 2: Individualized Practicum Learning Objectives Objective 1: I will utilize more research throughout my interaction with patients and provide the most up-to-date information when providing and prescribing treatment by the end of this practicum experience; the objectives should guide the self-assessment of the skills listed in the Clinical Skills section. SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Results-focused, Time-focused) self-assessments (Walden University Academic Skills Center, 2017).I will conduct additional research and have a confident relationship with the patient throughout my rotation. Offering and prescribing treatment will provide the most up-to-date information to the patient.  Planned Activities: Advance nurse practitioner students will interview and practice with at least 80 clients as part of their planned activities. Throughout this practicum, you will obtain knowledge of various diagnoses, which you will use to check the patient's recent treatment and treatment plan.  Practicum Outcomes: As nurse practitioners, you should establish differential treatment therapy for patients with mental health issues as part of the practicum. It can strengthen in advanced practice psychiatric mental health abilities. Include the history section of the assessment in this practicum to learn. It is appropriate to inquire if the patient requires assistance. Objective 2: Projected Timeline/Schedule.I want to improve my understanding of all ages' psychotherapy, including problems, treatments, and plans. Planned Activities:The prospect of working as an advanced practice nurse gives me great hope and confidence.
