Thank you. DQ 5.1 Certain things must be taken into consideration in trying to create an effective survey that minimizes bias and sampling error. According to Goodwin and Goodwin (2017), sampling bias happens when certain members of a group are more likely to be selected in a sample than other members. Those selected have to be completely random to avoid sampling bias. There is also self-reflection bias. In these, participants are chosen based on something they watch or read. They are also allowed to decide entirely by themselves whether they want to participate in a survey. Another example of a bias is response acquiescence bias. This is when the participant answers the question so that they are in agreement with the question.
