This is the first time that Sarah will be placed in care and Michael and Tina have some concerns about the management of Sarah's asthma. They tell you that Sarah's asthma is currently well controlled with the occasional use of an inhaler when she a bit wheezy or breathless after running around. a) As if you were speaking to Michael and Tina, provide an overview of your service's protocols for managing asthma. Your aim is to give Michael and Tina a high level of confidence in the service's ability to keep Sarah safe and healthy. b) Outline the information that you would be seeking from Michael and Tina at the enrolment stage. c) Describe the documents or records that would be created in the service to assist in the management of Sarah's asthma? d) What ongoing communication would you have with Michael and Tina about Sarah's health? You thank Nick for his offer but inform him that the supplier will be installing the equipment after hours and this will not happen until the weekend when no children are around.
