How are nurses in advanced roles “financed” to delivery health care? How are their clients, students, and organizations “financed” to obtain health care from nurses in advanced roles? Recall an example of health disparity that you experienced personally due to financial restrictions, or when you may have been asked to act on behalf of a family member who was not eligible to receive health care service. How did you feel? What could you do? What did you do? Now, conduct a search for information about nurses who advocated for health care reform. Who were they? Why did they?
