Question The current behavioral health system does not sufficiently address… The current behavioral health system does not sufficiently address these needs as a whole. I think that since there is more noise surrounding mental health issues and treatments, constructing advancements in the mental health territory is ongoing, however, there is still so much room for improvement. The mental health care improvements are just starting to gain traction and have not yet made a greater debut into the child and adolescent population. There are student advisors or guidance counselors at most educational institutions, however, typically one person that is supervising and serving an entire school that may house a diverse set of mental health issues. There could be definite room for improvement as far as deepening their comprehensive mental health system in educational institutions and striving their concentration on designing mental health programs and services to meet the needs of child and adolescent populations with behavioral health needs.
