Question Answered step-by-step SWOT is a short way of saying Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities,… SWOT is a short way of saying Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. This SWOT analysis is often used with social media accounts that are affiliated with a business. The analysis focuses on a range of questions that a company can answer and go over in order to improve their business and their social media. Personally, I feel like the SWOT analysis can offer an organized way for a business to go over all of the aspects that are both positive and negative in their business. This can be even more helpful when the businesses have their customers and employees answer the questions for the analysis. This offers the company the ability to view an outside opinion on what they are currently doing, and how they can make it better for all perspectives. Safko and Brake demonstrate these perspectives by saying, “Whatever you choose, your goal should be to organize the responses in a way that you can more effectively analyze them” (Safko & Brake, 35). Using a SWOT analysis would be beneficial to view and make decisions on what the company wants to post on their platforms because they can view everything right in front of them, and can decide what they want to promote on their social media. Personally, I don’t target any audience specifically when I make a post on social media. Most of the people that I follow and most of my followers are all people that I personally accept and sort through. These are people that I know and am comfortable with following me, so I don’t really have a specific audience for my posts. However, If I was a business I would look at all of my sales and determine which type of people or which age range is the one that does not purchase my product as much. I would then target these people in my posts to get their attention and hopefully encourage them to want to purchase the product or support my business in general.Besides a SWOT analysis, if you were a business owner, what else would you do using social media to boost your business?
