This is realized through immersing the students in series of speaking experiences in classrooms and other actual situations. The Senior High School K to 12 Curriculum is designed to sharpen the speaking skills of the students. Thus, Oral Communication in Context prepares the students to become effective speakers in their respective disciplines. As a way of celebrating the best speech performances of the students, a speech festival is proposed. Objectives: The following are the objectives: To exhibit students’ best speech performances;To boost students’ skills in presenting themselves through speaking activities; andTo foster a professional and collaborative spirit among Senior High School learners and teachers. Strategy / Methodology:The Speech Festival 2021 is delivered through inter-class competition among Grade 11 learners.
