Screening/Assessment Tests

Instructions: Pick one substance disorder assessment AND one assessment for other mental health problems/diagnoses, and write a 2-3 page paper, not including cover and reference pages, etc., that covers the following for each of the assessments you chose: 1) Describe the specific purpose of the assessment, 2) Describe the content (i.e. type and number of questions, etc.), 3) Describe the administration and scoring, 4) Provide information regarding validity and reliability, 5) Briefly discuss strengths and weaknesses of the assessment, 6) Briefly describe how the information gathered from the assessment could be used to assist clients. Use at least one reference in addition to your book. Your paper should be in APA format.
