Question S: This new patient is a 51-year-old male who comes in concerned abouta sore he noticed on his left temple, directly at the hairline. He states that his mother died 6 years ago from melanoma and that his brother was diagnosed with precancerous cells of the epidermis. Pt states he is the captain of a beach volleyball team and volunteers at the local YMCA as a water aerobics instructor. He says that he tries to be diligent about sunscreen, but sometimes he forgets.  O: Ht 5’11” Wt. 189 lb. R 20 T 98.6 BP 120/95. Cultures of lesion were taken and sent to our in-house lab. The pathology report confirms the lesion is malignant.
