I understand postmodernism denies that the knowledge of truth that one can have cannot be objective and as per relativism the truth can be subjective meaning, preference or opinion in other words truth is based on individual or cultural preference. There is denial of genuine objective standard of truth to follow what is right or wrong. On the other hand, scientism, claims what cannot be proved or tested is not true. Scientism cannot be applied to determine ethical values or if the medical decisions are right or wrong (Bogue & Hogan, 2020).
