She has recently had hip surgery and recovered well but must use a walking- stick at all times for the foreseeable future. She is concerned if she has future falls, how she would get help if this occurred. She has also been reassessed for her driving licence, and due to the hip surgery and a peripheral sight issue she is now unable to drive. This now prevents her from being able to do her weekly grocery shop and attend her sewing group. Her home has stairs at the front and back entrances and Dorothy is now finding it difficult in accessing her home. Dorothy cooks for herself, showers and dresses herself and is in good mental health. She does however find cleaning her house and maintaining her garden increasing tiring and challenging.
