The bronchoscope was then introduced into the right bronchus. Using fluoroscopic guidance, the tip of the bronchoscope was maneuvered into the area of the mass. Closed biopsy forceps were passed through the channel in the bronchoscope and transbronchial into the right lower lobe. A tissue sample was obtained.
