Question Answered step-by-step Political science ( reply to discuss post) The post is The most… Political science ( reply to discuss post)The post is The most recent public policy that has had a significant impact on my life is Newfoundland and Labrador’s policy that requires all employees in provincial government workplaces to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. This public health regulation policy was put in place by the provincial government to protect its employees.Although I do not work for the Government of NL this policy had an impact on my life because other organizations saw this public policy development as a model for their own operations. Many workplaces outside of the provincial government’s jurisdiction adopted similar policies. This shows that the provincial government’s public policies have a significant impact on the policies created within organizations. My workplace required me to be fully vaccinated and that had a significant impact on my life because of a phobia. It was an incredibly stressful and exhausting period of time because what was required of me caused me fear. What made this challenging is that the research and analysis behind the policy decision made sense. Thankfully I got the support I needed and am now fully vaccinated. This situation highlighted to me that public policy decisions made by governments are complex. Yes, actions are done for the public good, but there is always another side where a person or group feels disadvantaged because of it (even if they agree with the policy).Have you ever agreed with a public policy that made you feel disadvantaged?
