Topic- Contraception Guidelines/Rubric for Drug Comparison Analysis Power-point Presentation Purpose: In the advanced practice, the advanced practice nurse often must choose between different drugs to treat different common diseases and illnesses. There are different factors that influence drug selection. This activity will provide an opportunity to for students to examine these factors and how these influence prescribing and care through pharmacotherapeutics. Process: The student will select a common disease/illness process seen in their future advanced practice setting and identify three most common medications used to treat the illness. Although the students can use the course textbook for some sections, however this can only be minimally. Presentation should follow 7th edition of APA guidelines for power-point references.
