Question Answered step-by-step Please describes why you don’t agree with this given passage?… Please describes why you don’t agree with this given passage? Explain with evidence that you don’t agree with this passage: I am for the requirement of Voter ID when someone goes to vote. However, I am not agree about the mass presence of voter fraud. All over the country the 2020 election was contested by the losing administration. In all but one case it was dismissed as there was no real proof. That argument seems to be made solely to spark fire for support, and does nothing but further delegitamize the Republican party (Despite still having some moderate ideas). The reason I bring this up, is because it is the wrong argument to convince your opponent that your solution is the right one. I know this was addressed in the prompt, but I think the “it is required for other things,” argument is valid. The point that those things are protected rights should not matter. It does not matter because lack of resources in an urban area is not an infringement from the government. The government did not specifically choose not to build a DMV building in a small town. Instead it spent taxpayer money to build multiple in the large cities where the majority of the states voters live. On the topic of the DMV, you are asked if you want to be registered to vote when you get your 18+ ID. The government is encouraging someone to register when that was the last thing on their mind. On top of this, once you get your ID at 18, you can then renew your ID online for $10 and have it mailed to you (I have had to do this and the process takes 10 minutes). Then the other side claims for it to be discriminatory towards immigrants and people of color when one of seven accepted ID forms is citizenship certificate. Even if missing all seven, you can fill out a Reasonable Impediment Declaration. This allows you to use a paycheck, current utility bill, or government check, etc… The opponents of Voter ID calling it racist or classist are doing the same thing the voter fraud crowd is doing: sparking their base for political gain. If anyone really cared they would work more on the faults of the process and spending more money on a secure process that also increases availability.
