Click on each of the 5 boxes and review the research highlights. Which one was of most interest to you and why? Have you visited this site before?  (2 points)2. As you read chapter one, provide one or two paragraphs of what you are going to take away from your reading. What did you find helpful in expanding your understanding of research? What do you still have questions about?  (2 points)3. Describe what a tradition is. Then, review the section “Sources of Evidence for Nursing Practice”. Tradition and authority are listed (p. 5). Think about what you have experienced in your interaction with healthcare. You might have experience as a CNA or work in some area of healthcare. Or even your experience accessing healthcare. Can you think of any procedures or behaviors that remind you of tradition? It may be as simple as dress code or behaviors of healthcare or even something like how we communicate with others. Describe why you think your identified response is a tradition. In your opinion, should it remain a tradition or should it be challenged? He immediately started the process of moving them to Idaho to be closer to him and to assure more comprehensive health management. Social History:Dr. Ed Jones was a professor of French Literature at the University of California Sacramento. He enjoyed a long and successful academic career, was widely published and sought after in professional circles. Ed is 87 years old. Mrs. Norma Jones had always been active in her community, serving as a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, Junior Achievement, and the local library. Norma is 84 years old. Ed and Norma have one son, a physician in eastern Idaho, and one daughter who is a program manager at a small information technology company in southern California. Over their marriage of 61 years, Ed and Norma have enjoyed a life of travel, culture, and community engagement. The have lived in a community known for alternative points of view, and have been active in politics. Their home has been full of books, music, and friends...and has always been cluttered. Prior to moving they had been two night owls. It had been their habit to watch the late shows and then around 2 in the morning to go shopping at the stores that were open 24 hours because they were so quiet in the middle of the night. Their son wanted them to be in a safe place, and nearby so he could help.
