Boring!Instead, you will want to introduce your object first. Tell us a little bit about it, like where you got it, why it is important you, and things like that. That serves as an attention-getter. For now, do not talk about the three aspects / qualities / characteristics you will be sharing. We want to save this for a little bit later.Now you can tell us your name. Then tell us what you are going to tell us about yourself by looking at three qualities / characteristics /aspects of the item. Don’t elaborate as you will be telling us all about those three personal aspects in your three main points. Just mention what they are. This is called giving us a preview.  Say something like, “The laces, eyelets, and spikes on my soccer cleats reveal the strengths I receive from my relationships, my inner strengths, and my endurance.” Do you see how the personal characteristics line up with the items/parts of the cleat? That now sets you up to talk about your three main points.Your whole introduction should take about 30 seconds.Finally, add your conclusion to the speech, which should take about 30 seconds. Start by saying, “In conclusion”( or something like that). This makes it clear you have finished your last point and are getting ready to wrap things up. First, briefly restate your main points. Review for us the three things you told us about the item and then the three things you told us about you – mention what they were. This is called a review. This will help your audience remember what you have told them. Then give us some statement that wraps up your speech.
