A Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation was completed, and the following diagnoses were determined:· Major Depressive Disorder, Moderate· Unspecified Anxiety DisorderWithout much prompting, Julie also reported she has been under a lot of stress recently, as she is currently separated from her husband, Hunter, and they are likely going to seek a divorce. She reports they got together when she was still in high school although he was in his mid-twenties. She felt that the only acceptable outcome for her parents were that they get married. Things seemed to work out OK for a year or so, but their relationship began to sour. He had cheated on her more than once. He introduced her to drugs (marijuana and opiates), but by then they had 2 young children and she felt the need to stay with him for the children. According to her, his drug use got much worse, but she only used occasionally. When he began hitting her and sold some items of her mother’s that she had cherished over the years, she decided she that she could no longer stay married to Hunter. She explained that he came from a wealthy and somewhat influential family and they were fighting her in court for custody of the children. She commented that he was not the man she thought he was, and the provider commented that he did not sound like much of a man at all and Julie smiled.
