Question John Edwards is a deaf student in the special program at CSUN.   Hehad gone to the clinic for an ear infection.  His discharge instructions said to come back to the clinic if he still had a fever or other symptoms after 48 hours.  Today he is pointing to his ear with facial expressions of pain along with a temp 39C.  You need to find out what is happening with his infection (he is putting the medication in his ear).  -Are there any cultural or ethnic influences that may affect pharmacotherapy for your patient?
