Why even in the Canadian society, one that is one of the most progressive societies in the world, do we still see gender inequality? What is perpetuating this inequality? All the best. The worst would be the responsibilities, roles  expectations for a female are very different than for a men in   society, certain individuals  and cultures.i mean girls are expected to feminine have good manners, dress up well ,cook well, obedient , understanding  and be emotionally weak.while males are expected to be strong, manly and emotionally strong, and more independent.the reason this inequality exists is because society, television,social media enforce these stereotypes I mean on televisions adds you don’t see boys playing with dolls or girls playing with cars.i mean yes society has come so far but there still this huge divide that exists between females and males.this is because when some us watch certain things old views or opinions are enforced.which is why gender inequ!ity is still a issue even in progressive society.i mean even here in Canada women are paid less then men and they also face gender discrimination in the work places.  As a women I able to relate better to people since they trust us more emotionally.Also we don’t have to hear like boys don’t cry don’t be so emotional.so we are able to express our feelings better.i mean men can’t be femisnt even I would be uncomfortable if a men was crying because to me thats not normal.  Arts & Humanities Writing CRJS 1011 Share QuestionEmailCopy link Comments (0)
