Question I think if we don’t see a shift to promote health in the elderly… I think if we don’t see a shift to promote health in the elderly and find ways for them to care for themselves, nurses may be placed in situations where they have unsafe care ratios. Some states are regulating nurse to patient ratios (US Department of Health and Human Services, 2013).
