John’s current vital signs are: Oral temperature: 98.2°F Pulse: 67 Respirations: 18 Blood Pressure: 119/79 Oxygen: 98% on room airJohn’s pulses are palpable, his heart sounds are regular, and he has +2 edema to both ankles. His extremities are warm to the touch and his capillary refill time is < 3 seconds. John denies pain, but does say that he sometimes feels a little bit dizzy if he stands up too fast. He says that he sometimes has some mild tingling and numbness in his feet, but he has had this issue for years. During the interview, John makes the following statements: “I feel so confused by all of these new pills I’m supposed to take.””I didn’t used to be so good at taking my blood pressure medications. I think that’s why I ended up in the hospital.”  “The food in the hospital was so bland compared to what I usually eat at home.
