Respond to two other classmates and support your answer with appropriate references and specific examples.Statement:The professional nursing association I have selected is the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. The American Association of Nurse Practitioners empowers all NPs to advance quality health care through practice, education, advocacy, research and leadership. AANP’s legislative team represents NPs and their patients on critical issues related to licensure, access to care, patient safety, health care reform, reimbursement and other concerns. AANP has been at the forefront of advocating for the scope of NPs. In addition to advocating on NP-related policies, AANP represents NPs on national committees and in health organizations, bringing the NP perspective to health care leaders. Just this year AANP assisted in getting Delaware to become a full practice state. They are currently advocating for the ability of NPs to sign death certificates. These are just some of the legislation this organization is assisting in. they continue to fight for the role of NPs nationwide.
