Question Answered step-by-step I need a peer response to the statement below. This is a peer response only. ThanksHow does bivariate analysis compare to multivariate statistical procedures? What are the advantages of a multivariate analysis? Both bivariate analysis and multivariate statistical procedures examine the relationships between data but there are differences (Bush, 2018). Bivariate analysis examine two paired data samples and multivariate analysis takes two or more variables and investigates if there is a correlation with an outcome (Bush, 2018). Multivariate analysis looks at which variables impact the outcome (Bush, 2018). The predictive variables are independent and dependent variable is the outcome (Bush, 2018). In the bivariate analysis, each sample is independent and sample correlation is investigated (Bush, 2018).The benefit of a multivariate analysis is that more than two variables can be investigated and researchers can determine if the independent variables cause an outcome. Multiple regression is the most common method used in multivariate analysis (Bush, 2018). Two advantages of using multiple regression include: “the ability to determine the relative influence of one or more predictor variables to the criterion value” and “the ability to identify outliers, or anomalies” (Weedmark, 2018, para. 4 & 5).
