I am in high school so can you take out words like my fellow student and things that make it seem like I’m in college.   Good Morning, and thank you for joining us here today. As nervous as I am standing here today I am also proud to be sharing my experiences with you all. The past 4 years of all of our lives have been filled with joy, excitement, anger, stress, and now we feel proud. I could go on and talk about what the last 4 years of our lives have been like, but I think it’s more important to focus on where we will be in the next 4 years. Whether we will be graduating from college or living with our parents, that is what we need to be focusing on. Every end has a new beginning but I believe our learning will actually start from today. When I decided to go to college without preparation because I hadn’t thought about this before. I wasn’t sure what I would get in. I was excited but at the same time a little scared of the new reality.  Although the last 4 years have been filled with many memories, happy and sad, we can’t focus on them too much right now. But most importantly in this speech I will be talking about believing in yourself, because I wouldn’t be here right now if I didn’t think I could do it. I think we all agree the past few years of our lives were important, but that’s not what we need to focus on. The next few years of our lives are going to be even more important than the previous ones.We are going to meet tons of new people, make tons of new memories, and set tons of new goals for ourselves. But, we need to concentrate on making the next years of our lives the most important and most focused so they can be the most successful years. Even though it will be difficult to leave your friends and go separate ways, you will always have the memories you made. Whenever you are feeling sad, lonely, or depressed, you always have the memories you made to look back on. Someone once said ¨No matter what happens, memories can never be replaced.¨ So think about that the next time you feel lonely because you will always have something good in your memory to make you feel happy again. In the future, if you ever feel like you can’t do it or you aren’t good enough to succeed, you just have to believe in yourself. And if you don’t, you are the only person in the way of reaching your goals. You are the only person that will be by your side all through life so don’t bring yourself down. You always have to believe in yourself even if times get tough because that is the only way you will ever succeed in life.Class of 2022 I’m glad to say we did it. We’ve made it through the best and worst times of our lives. I would like to thank a few people for helping me get to this point. Thank you to my parents for paying my tuition and for helping me with my homework in elementary school. I guess it finally paid off. And also I would love to thank the teachers and staff. You all have helped me get to this point. Good luck to everyone going to college but just remember graduation is only the beginning.  Every one of you has made an impact on the graduates who sit here today. I wasn’t sure what I would get in. I was excited but at the same time a little scared of the new reality. It started when I went to a vocational school, one of the best vocational schools in the area where I lived, West Jakarta. The strongest reason why I choose a vocational school level is because I don’t want to go to college. I just think college is difficult, if we can immediately get money by working without taking a step from college, so why not? That’s the mind of a 15-year-old girl. Then my math teacher told me that “If you leave your comfort zone, you will be proud of yourself that you had made the right decision because the ability must be developed” Her strong statement still remained in my memory until this day. At that moment, I came home with news to my mother that her daughter was ready to get out of her comfort zone and go to college. I decided everything quickly and without any preparation. Back to the point that I’m from vocational school where the focus of the school was not to go to college, so I was only a fraction of the students. My friends also did not have that desire at that time. By being in such an environment, will I succeed? I thought about it too much, so many fearful questions that haunt me. Will this work? What if this all fails? What will I do later? Once again because I graduated from a vocational high school, there were no teachers who gave lessons related to tests to enter universities where only the initiative of students to learn on their own. And I think it’s an impossible possibility by only having about one month to study for that test. “Just let it flow and enjoy the waves, you did well, dear” Those are the words of my mother who always calm my soul. No matter if you succeed , at least you have tried to be the best. My fear was gone instantly, when I was accepted at my dream campus. And believe that it is not an outcome but a step, a new step that you must take to achieve everything, everything you had dreamt of. Now I admit it and justify the statement from my teacher and this is really important so I am going to say it again to leave your comfort zone, no matter how hard it is, someday you will be proud of yourself that you made the right decision. Let me end this by saying that you will not know what you will face someday, prepare  yourself, and enjoy the waves. And don’t think about your fears, a fear will only make you weak and lose confidence. Ignore the fear and proceed with your steps! Thank you all very much. As I said at the beginning, there is a new start at the end.
