Thank you.Case Study NeedAlley, age 35, is a car sales representative who works five days a week at a busy car mart outside of the city. Alley is divorced and she does not have any children. However, she has a sister who has 3 daughters and she is very close to her three nieces. Alley is a dedicated worker, she hardly gets time off from work to relax and unwind. She eats breakfast at home alone and this usually consist of toast with peanut butter and jam. She normally eats lunch from a small café down the street from her place of work. Her choices for lunch includes macaroni and cheese, fried chicken wings, fries, steak and lasagna. She enjoys eating at restaurants so she meets her friends two to three times for dinner each week. On the other days, she eats instant noodles or can foods for dinner. Alley also enjoys at least two alcoholic beverages a day. Her favourite drink is ginger ale, she drinks it quite often throughout the day and she describes it as a “stomach settler.” Recently, Alley has been experiencing heart burn, nausea and abdominal discomfort. She also complains of having difficulty sleeping at nights.Today, Alley checks into the clinic to see the doctor because she is “feeling quite weak.” She has some trouble walking up the stairs at the doctor’s office. She tells the Practical Nurse that she has not vomited but feels like she wants to “barf”. Alley denies having any pain in her abdomen at this time although she gets the occasional cramp. She is worried that she is seriously ill. Alley tells the PN that her last bowel movement was 2 days ago. During the physical assessment, the PN assessed Alley weight to be 72kg, and her height 150cm. Alley informs the PN that her ideal body weight is 68kg. “I think I will go shopping for new clothes soon because everything is getting tight,” Alley told the nurse. Her mucous membranes appear moist and pink.
