Moreover, using the REPLAN system helps in identifying what would best help the client (Young, 2021). The REPLAN involves maintaining a strong relationship, enhancing efficacy and self-esteem, practicing new behaviours, lowering and raising emotional arousal, activating client expectations, hope and motivation, and providing new learning experiences (Young, 2021). Additionally, I like the REPLAN system, because Young (2021) mentioned that it focuses on relatively few client goals, which I believe in working and focusing on one or few goals at a time is better than making many goals. I think this way is better for the clients, as they can focus on a few goals at a time and not stress them and make achieving goals a challenge and hard on them. Young (2021) emphasized that “This approach makes it a brief treatment model and has the benefit of focusing clients on a few goals at a time rather than planning an elaborate treatment regimen that may collapse over time as the client’s situation changes” (p.226).
