The patient describes the initial pain as cramping over the periumbilical region that gradually localized to the right lower quadrant and is a sharp pain. The patient reports associated fever of 101F, nausea and one episode of vomiting.The patient denies diarrhea, sick contact, or any recent trauma. Current medication includes acetaminophen for pain.
