The patient works as a maid for a small motel chain and states that lately, she has to stop what she is doing and sit down to catch her breath. The patient says she typically sleeps in a reclining chair at home because it is easier to breath and rest. She is not able to lie flat to sleep. Mrs. Martinez thinks she needs to have oxygen for home use like her sister who has the same problem. Admits to smoking 1.5 pk. day X 30 years. Appears slightly anxious and older than stated age. Sitting slightly forward (Tripod position) with moderately labored breathing. Skin is pale with mild cyanosis of nail beds.
