To deal with the data, the companies use modern data analysis system and business intelligence system to merge data that are different in kind and utilize it with the help of the EDW (Stitch,2020). Again, as a manager and an owner in the aviation school, I want to make the most of it. This is because there are many advantages of utilizing the EDW. Especially about the cloud enterprise data warehouses, the warehouses are very good options for owners like me who have to deal with a lot of data. First off, a lot of cloud EDW has a characteristic of high availability. In other words, the cloud EDW system always have a recent backup. If a specific data center is not able to do its job, work will be transferred from the data center to another data center. Thus, users cannot notice the system failure even if some errors occur when they are using the warehouse. Second, it is about the security. The cloud EDW has a very sophisticated security system. Meeting some compliance standards like SOC 1, SOC 2, PCI DSS Level 1, and HIPAA, Cloud EDW has a powerful embedded protection against loss of data regardless of whether it is because of an accident or malice (Stitch,2020). Also, it seeks measures to save itself as soon as possible and respond quickly to some problems.Third, the cloud EDW doesn’t require high maintenance. Some EDW models have programs that are more user-friendly. So, almost all interested people are wonderfully free of some problems like having difficulty in buying, setting up, and managing the warehouse. Considering these benefits of the EDW, I want to establish a highly efficient data warehouse in concurrence with some other aviation schools. Although students and instructors in my aviation school are not employees, I want to make various data available anywhere and anytime they want, even in the places with slow broadband. Then, when a student makes a cross country plan, he can utilize some data that have already been analyzed and optimized for decision-making from our warehouse. Also, because the EDW collects current data, I will set the system to get some information that is relevant to the particular flight if the user files a flight plan that contains departure, en route, arrival, and approach. Then, it will also help the student to make a decision concerning the weather. By collecting weather information like PIREPs, temporary flight restrictions, AIRMETs, SIGMETs, and so on, the system will automatically give some notices beforehand if there are some potential risk factors. Although ATC also lets pilots know some things that they need to be aware of, using the system will be more efficient and immediate. So, it will greatly reduce the pilots’ workload.ConclusionSupposing that I became an owner and a manager of the aviation school, I have examined closely some information systems including the Transaction Processing System, Decision Support System, Cloud Computing, Database Management System, and Enterprise Data Warehouse.Thanks to a lot of advantages of all these systems, as a manager, I was able to construct some good systems to collect, manage, and utilize the data.
