Intergroup contact is defined as any time you interact with a member of another group in terms of your group memberships. As pointed out in the lecture, this kind of interaction can (under certain conditions…) help reduce prejudice/challenge stereotypes we may hold about an outgroup through a variety of possible pathways.  1) Describe a time when you engaged in intergroup contact and felt like this had a positive impact on improving your attitude towards another group. 2) Using concepts from the lecture, attempt to explain why you think this interaction might have helped shift your attitudes in a positive way. Consider: What were the features of the situation in which the contact occurred?
