Question Answered step-by-step A longer paragraph discussing this work ” In a world without… A longer paragraph discussing this work ” In a world without racism, people would be seen as people, no matter their skin color. There would be no judgment based on something as superficial as skin color. This world would be a far better place. People would be judge on their character not the color of the skin. We would all be seen as equals, no matter what our skin color is. Racism is a major problem in our world today but if we can imagine a world without it, then maybe we can one day make that world a reality. The purpose of this poem by Langston Hughes was to inspire African Americans to recognize their worth and stand up for themselves. He not only sets the tone for the poem by referring to “black eyes”, but he also mentions segregation. Most significantly, he does not focus the poem on the bad aspects of what is happening to them, instead he encourages them to recognize their own worth and take steps towards standing up for themselves. The song that reflects my outlook on life is from John Lennon’s “Imagine” because it talks about imagining a world without all the negative that exists today. It’s a world where we are all equal and there is no hunger or greed, just peace and love. I think this is the kind of world we should all be striving for. It’s a world where we can all live together in peace and harmony. I can relate to this lyric because I feel like the world has been lately crazy, there has been a lot of violence and hatred. It’s been hard to see the beauty in the world when there is so much negativity.” Arts & Humanities Writing ENC MISC Share QuestionEmailCopy link Comments (0)
