Conduct a full 30 min session with a client/family/group . With the permission of the client, you might record
the session using Otter or Word annotation or any other audio. While you do not need to provide the audio
version use it to identify and transcribe a 10 min. portion of the session where a meaningful part of the
discussion occurred. The process recording should be no longer than 4 pages.
Keep your client’s identifying information confidential. Use initials or pseudonyms. If you conduct the
assignment outside of your agency, let the volunteer client know that this assignment is for a class and that
you are not able to address any serious areas of concern.
