A true democracy depends on voter participation, so I also agree that partisanship can mobilize voters. With this increase in partisanship Nivola shows how the U.S. is starting to replicate a parliamentary system.Personally, I don’t favor the two-party system at all. So, the presidential system is already not my favorite. To switch from the presidential system to parliamentary seems to have just as many pros as it does cons.
