The International Classification of Diseases, Version 10 (ICD-10) code mappings utilized by PDPM to classify patients into case-mix categories are also recommended to be revised in this proposed rule. This proposed rule also includes a proposed projection inaccuracy adjustment for FY 2022. This proposed regulation also discusses a mechanism for recalibration of the PDPM parity adjustment, which is utilized to implement PDPM in a budget-neutral manner.  The Transfer of Health Information to the Patient—Post-Acute Care Measure’s denominator should be changed. Due to the public health emergency, the recommendation is to change the number of quarters utilized for publicly reporting SNF QRP parameters. Update on the SNF VBP Program For the FY 2022 SNF VBP Program Year, a proposal to suppress the Skilled Nursing Facility 30-Day All-Cause Readmission Measure and other recommendations for scoring and altering payments SNFs for that program year if the SNFRM is suppressed. They also propose making a technological update to the procedures for an SNF, requesting an extreme case exception, and codifying that change in our regulations. They also suggest updating the Phase One Review and Corrections policy.
