Question Answered step-by-step The way people react to your actions, beliefs, and even your… The way people react to your actions, beliefs, and even your personality can have a drastic effect on you. Although it varies case to case as some may be less impacted by the reactions of others, often these reactions can be profound in personal development. I personally believe that another important variable in this discussion to consider is, your age in these given situations. For instance if you are a child playing a sport and everyone reacts as if you are terrible, odds are as a child you would be more inclined to quit the sport and not attempt to improve yourself. However if you are a professional athlete and everyone doubts you, this may instead fuel you to improve and strive for greatness. Although our age and who we are change the impact of the effect others have on us, one thing stays consistent the role of perception. People could react drastically to your personality however if you choose to ignore them or maybe do not even perceive their actions, they would have no impact on you. In our society perception is everything, your actual ability may not matter at all if people do not perceive you to be good at something. Thus why it is important to process individuals reactions with caution as you are the only one who knows the true reality of your ability and self image.Explain why you agree or disagree with this post. Many people say that other peoples’ opinions have no effect on them. That might be true to an extent, but I believe at one point in their lives something someone said influenced them. The way people react to us plays a role in how we see ourselves and how our personality grows. From a young age, society tells us what to do, that something is bad or good, or we should behave this way. When we were young, we were told to sit still in class and pay attention. For many of us that was hard because we may have been more creative or more active than that. For some being told to sit still and be good, may have caused them to suppress their creative side and they never grew up to explore it. Reactions of others can strongly influence how we act. Normally a positive reaction will cause us to continue what we are doing, build confidence and feel good. However, a negative reaction could stick with us forever. It may cause us to stop doing something we could be good at. For example, I had a mean dance teacher when I was young. I was often put down by this dance teacher and so were many other students. It caused one girl to quit because she felt like she was terrible, when she was great. For me, it only encouraged me to try harder and practice more. Therefore I believe words have such a strong influence and that we should really be so cautious about what we allow to come out of our mouths.Explain why you agree or disagree with this post. The way people react has a big impact on one’s personality and self-image. Growing up we mirror those actions around us whether that is our parents, siblings, teachers, friends, etc. The way a person reacts especially when we are young plays the first step in development. When we are young that starting out of who we are can potentially dictate the rest of our lives. The reactions and approval of others while we are young will start the development of our skills. For example, when you are young your parents make the decisions on what clubs or sports you will play. This one action has the potential of having an effect on the rest of your life. You stay with that sport and you learn to love it, in turn you become friends with others who share the same passion of it. This directly influences the development of skills for that sports depending on who you becomes friends with. The reaction of others plays a very big part in the development of ones personality while also either giving you a chance to continue developing your skills or hinder your ability to. There is a lot of other factors that can be said in this hypothetical, but when we are young all we do is mirror the actions of others and seek the approval of them.Explain why you agree or disagree with this post.
