Ports around the world rely on technologies to be competitive,… Ports around the world rely on technologies to be competitive, adhere to certain rules and policies, and maximize profits. In an industry that already has several vulnerabilities; the added uses of technologies have increased the stakes and intricacies of cyber security attacks both in the informational technology and operational technology realms. Students are required to conduct a research critically evaluating the relationship between Cyber security and the Maritime domain inclusive of the following areas:1. Identify a stakeholder in the maritime industry (port, shipping line, oil rig platforms, ferry, autonomous ships,etc.) of your choice that has been impacted by cyber-criminals and discuss the actual and/or potential implications of the attack.2. Analyse and evaluate one piece of a regulatory framework that addresses the issue of cyber security, and put forward its strength and weaknesses.3.
