Please come up with a response to the following discussion post and… Please come up with a response to the following discussion post and add at least one reference.After experiencing two hurricanes and being from a town that has had several wildfires, making sure everyone is safe after the disaster hits are important. Regardless of how well an area or person may feel after a disaster, there will be situations where a life could be in harm’s way. Not every disaster is the same and can be predicted. In the reading, I reviewed what I have learned from past experiences the staff that responds to emergency safety is the most important, I could not agree more. Material items are just items that can be replaced, a life is worth so much more and is not replaceable. Educating emergency responders and going through emergency exercises is important to help make sure people have some confidence when situations arise and to remain safe. Having a plan for them when situations arise is important. Also getting information out to the community is a great way to help people stay safe. Teaching people how to handle themselves by being educated will calm people and can save people. My personal experience with this was when people that were educated and willing to help, stepped up and helped my entire neighborhood get out of floodwater after Hurricane Harvey hit. I know with their help and knowledge, saved people’s lives, especially the people in the nursing home a block from our house. Right after a hurricane hits, there tends to be a lot of chaos, having people there ready to jump in and help that are educated so that everyone remains safe is a Godsend.
