Question Keep a food diary for 3 days . You will write down everything you… Keep a food diary for 3 days.  You will write down everything you ate and drank throughout each day, including portions/measurements (tablespoons, teaspoons, ounces, cups, etc.)  It is important that you are as detailed as possible. When eating packaged foods, write down the brand name (when available). You should write down each food and beverage as you consume it. Some people keep track in their phone or carry a small notebook with them throughout each day. You will then analyze your diet record (dairy) using the FREE online tools available on My Food Record: https://www.myfoodrecord.com. You will need to  log-in profile (if you do not already have one). Be sure to save your user name and password!  After you create profile, from the drop town menu at top of screen, click on ANALYZE ? One Day Analysis.  Add what you ate for each day separately.  Be sure to be as detailed as possible, noting everything you consumed (including how many teaspoons, ounces, cups, etc.) Image transcription textfood Record HOME MY ACCOUNT .ANALYZE . Be specific in your suggestions.  For example, if you are low or too high in a particular nutrient, how can you change your dietary habits?  Do not simply state “I need to eat more calcium-rich foods”. Instead, make specific suggestions of foods you could eat based on your preferences and when you could make these changes to your meals/snacks. For example:  “I could eat a cup of low-fat yogurt at lunch to improve my calcium intake.” Discuss whether or not you found this analysis useful/helpful.  Why or why not? (Be honest).  Also, discuss (as relevant) if anything surprised you. Biology Science Nutrition NUTR 220 Share QuestionEmailCopy link Comments (0)
