Question Answered step-by-step I need help with this question discussion question – Which system… I need help with this question discussion question – Which system of laws do you believe is better for the U.S and why? Assume for the sake of this discussion that there is no requirement that all laws be enacted by the legislative branch of government.  My answer – I said Common Law would be best for the United States. I need help explaining why that is best. I said one reason was because the judge looks at previous cases in order to make a decision on a new case.
