INTRODUCTION Aligning with the program different funding departments inside of the school will give support to this action plan, including different organizations especially the YES-O Club and the SSG will contribute to attaining the goal of the activity. The YES-O Club supports all activities. which involve health and nutritious program and the SSG which is the leading organization that aims to promote all necessary activities that will be beneficial to the students and schools. Unhealthy eating habits can trigger different diseases and illnesses to physical and mental health. The major nutritional issues that the students are facing include stunting, and low. body weight, and malnutrition. Most of the students enter schools with an empty stomach. or are malnourished and have declined cognitive abilities to perform different class activities, leading to low school engagement. They also suffer from decreased physical activity because of not having enough energy and strength to perform extraneous exercises. The people which will be responsible for this project are the members of the Science Club of Dipaculao National High School. This organization is known for its advocacy to prevent the spread of diseases and maintain a healthy body and mind. The science club is a respectable organization with its member because of the efficacy to perform its role by helping the schools to solve different problems of the students to combat malnutrition. Fruity and Vegie Little Garden is a project of a student that aims to promote healthy eating by serving nutritious fruits and vegetables from the school garden which will decrease the number of underweight and obese. and also help to prevent diseases. In making the program funding effective costs are important to make this a success that is why the member of the science club decided to expand the program to other persons outside the school especially the alumni of the Dipaculao National High School to voluntarily support this through giving any cash amount materials needed in making the garden. School gardens are cultivated areas around or near primary and/or secondary schools, which can be used mainly for learning purposes but could also generate some food and income. for the school. School garden activities usually comprise horticultural crops but may include small-scale animal husbandry and fishery, beekeeping, fruit trees, ornamental plants, and shading, as well as small-scale staple food production. II. RATIONALE OF THE STUDY This project will not focus only on planting vegetables but also on fruits. Most school gardens planted only vegetables with a very limited variety of them. Also, they do not have fruits inside the area, which is why this project called Fruity and Veggie Little Garden is composed of vegetables and fruits which will be planted in the garden. Fruits are known for their benefits and different essential vitamins which are good for the health of the students. The Philippines is a warm place which is why the science club decided to plant selected fruits that can grow in a warm wan place and is not sensitive. The fruits include pineapples, papaya, mango, and banana. There are fruits commonly seen in the backyards of houses in the Philippines which is why the members of the clubs decided to put them in one place inside the school for everyone to have access to it. These common fruits have wonderful vitamins to offer pineapples mango and banana which are rich in vitamin A and C, vitamin B1, B2, and B6, and folate. Papaya fruits give vitamin A, C, and Fiber. The vegetables that will be planted include string beans, patchy, tomatoes, eggplant, okra, and beans. These vegetables contain a variety of minerals and vitamins that helps the body to fight diseases. This will address the problem with the increased number of stunting, low body weight students, and malnutrition, Malnutrition encompasses all forms of poor nutrition, whether it be excess consumption of nutrients (overnutrition) usually afflicting the obese or inadequate consumption of nutrients (undernutrition) that leads to wasting and stunting – common among those suffering from extreme and prolonged hunger. Among the various forms of malnutrition, stunting is deemed to be the worst, and it remains prevalent. According to Oyun Dendevnorov, one in three Filipino children under 5 years old are stunted, which means they are too short for their age, while roughly 7 percent of children are too thin for their height. Moreover, a 10th of Filipino adolescents are now overweight. Child undernutrition has three indicators: Underweight (low weight-for-age, including low birth weight), wasting (low weight for height), and stunting (low height-for-age). The Philippines is among those with the highest wasting and stunting prevalence, according to the Global Nutrition Report in 2016. Of a total of 130 countries ranked lowest to highest in wasting prevalence, the Philippines was ranked 93rd at 7.9 % prevalence. On stunting, the Philippines has an a30,3 % prevalence and at 88th spot out of 132 countries also ranked lowest to highest. Significance of the Project This part of the paper will focus on the benefits to the different groups of people. This will give a glimpse of how this project is important. To schools. This will give them a better record to decrease the number of malnourished students and this will also help to provide money that can be used for the emergency fund of the school. To students. This will help them to maintain healthy eating habits and prevent diseases. III.
