According to the company’s 2021 performance summary, there have been 4.0 million tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions reductions through Nestle projects since 2018. The company is also aiming for 100% deforestation-free in the company’s primary meat, palm oil, pulp and paper, soya and sugar, and the company already achieved 97.2% deforestation in 2021 (Nestlé, 2022). Deforestation elimination and greenhouse gas emissions are vital on our planet nowadays, as climate change and global warming are impacted by the company’s production that uses all their resources without giving back to the betterment of the environment. Therefore, eliminating deforestation and planting trees is vital in saving our environment and can slowly reduce global warming. The company aims for 100% waste reduction by using recyclable or reusable packaging by 2025. Reducing the use of plastic packaging, scaling reusable and refillable systems, pioneering alternative packaging materials to facilitate recycling, and supporting infrastructure that helps to make recycling easier are the methods the company uses to fully achieve their environmental sustainability project (Nestlé, 2022). Our planet is producing a massive amount of plastic waste that causes pollution in the environment and harms humans and all the living creatures on this planet. Therefore, reducing plastic waste initiated by a big company that produces a vast amount of plastic waste has a massive impact on the betterment of the environment. These are just a few of the CSR initiatives of Nestlé company, and the company is doing well in facilitating these corporate responsibilities as reported in 2021. The mission of Canada Goose has always been to provide high-quality, weather-resistant products with a focus on function. It acknowledges that as it continues to innovate and expand, offering new products with purpose, intent, and usefulness, it must also accelerate the long-term evolution of its designs (Canada Goose, 2022).Canada Goose just released its 2021 Sustainability Report, which details the company’s progress toward its 2025 sustainability targets as well as its commitment to tackling social, economic, and environmental issues. Canada Goose creates products for generations, not seasons, and its new product-focused sustainability commitments reaffirm that philosophy (Canada Goose, 2022).
