Bruce Lee is known for his martial arts skills both personally and on screen. He became a student of philosophy which he felt could be applied to his martial arts and created his own brand of philosophy from what he learned from Krishnamurti, Suzuki, and Watts, all related to combat. The skills he had were different than any one had shown.Bruce Lee presented the image of “Bruce Lee “which dealt with his martial art skills while integrating philosophy creating an image of Zen Sage/Warrior. Because of what he had shown the world he became a guru to the starts by combining his storytelling with his philosophies and mythology. Philosophies and mythology are in line with yin yang symbol as they work together to answer the questions of the universe producing answers that are similar. All his workings are in line with the definition of the myth definition which states it is what captures our imagination and is not generic. By reading about Bruce Lee and being an avid follower of him during his years alive I can say that he is a heroic figure and has Campbell’s characteristics as stated one specifically a person who has given their life to something bigger than themselves. Bruce Lee gave his life to seeking the true meaning of life and finding peace of mind. He believed in always being oneself, have faith in yourself, and express yourself and do not be a duplicate of others. People followed him because of his philosophy and ways of becoming better with one’s body and mind.
