Change can be social, technological, political, and environmental and it can impact consumers and organizations in various ways for instance change can impact organizational behavior by influencing how we perceive and view an organization and its products (Newstrom, John W, 2016).Change can be challenging to execute but it can certainly be managed effectively and for that organizations need an effective leader that understand how to handle change identify what forces (internal, external) prompted the need for change and how to accomplish change successfully (Harvard, 2009). To implement change successfully we must discuss the three stages of change, unfreezing, changing, and refreezing.The first phase of change is unfreezing, and it refers to casting aside old practices so that new ones can be introduced failing to throw aside old attitudes, believes and values can make change difficult to execute (Newstrom, John W, 2016). For example, most of experienced the sudden and unpredictable change of working remotely, my organization had to find ways to shift staff, faculty, and students from in person to virtual work. Many of us expressed privacy concerns as if this modern world couldn’t offer us any security from exposing our private lives our perceptions of remote work were clouded by out attitudes and misinformation.The second phase is where the new information is introduced. The changing phase allows for the leader to help their employees to think, reason and work in new ways but can effective be accomplish if the leader motivates the team during the process (Newstrom, John W, 2016). For example, my team was introduced to use new technology software’s in addition to learning cybersecurity regulations so that we can effectively and successfully work remotely during the pandemic, it was challenging and frustrating specially for those who aren’t tech savvy.
