A large percentage of prescriptions processed by a pharmacy are written for senior citizens. They typically have the most conditions that require medications as a result of advanced age. Non-compliance is when they do not take their medications as prescribed, which is a common challenge for this demographic.

To Post:
Identify a medication that you think would result in non-compliance. Why would they not take this medication, or take it incorrectly?
How can you assist the patient in improving their compliance?
To Respond:
What else do you want to know about the medication or compliance suggestions your classmate described?
Ask a follow-up question to further the discussion.
Every discussion must have an initial response of at least 5 to 10 full sentences.

You must reply to 2 other students as well as your instructor with at least 3 full sentences. Sentences like ” I agree” or “I disagree” do not count as full sentences. Communicate in a professional manner. Spelling/grammar is a component of the grading rubric.
